Banditry: Shutdown of telecoms, schools yet to have impact – Shehu Sani

The Kaduna state government are currently taking decisive actiions against the activities of the killer bandit groups operating in the state, here is what Shehu Sani a former senator representing the central senatorial zone of the state has to say.

Former Kaduna lawmaker, Shehu Sani has said the closure of markets, schools and shutdown of telecoms services is yet to have an impact on insecurity in the state

Sani said this on Tuesday while raising the alarm of an attack on Monday night in the state.

According to him, shutting down markets, schools, telecoms and cattle movements is yet to have an impact.
Sani via his Twitter page wrote: “Yesternight, bandits stormed the outskirts of Kaduna known as Keke B and kidnapped scores of people

Lyonmacktv recalls that the Kaduna State Government had days ago banned the weekly markets in Birnin Gwari, Kajuru, Chikun, Igabi and Giwa local governments to review the security situation in the state.
But many residents who spoke to DAILY POST kicked against the ban describing it as a plan by the government to starve residents as they relied on weekly markets to survive.

They noted that the ban would not stop bandits who move from house to house, room to room in the night, killing and kidnapping people.
