Chelsea launch bomber offer for AC Milan and Portuguese star Rafael Leao.
Rafael Leao’s contract talks with Serie A giants, AC Milan
have reportedly stalled, as the Italian champions are not
currently prepared to meet the Portuguese attacker wage
The 23-year-old winger enjoyed a stunning 2021-22 season
for his Serie A team, founding back of the net 14 times and
providing 12 assists in 42 games in all competitions.
Meanwhile, the Portugal international has been in fine form
at the start of this campaign, founding back of the net three
times and providing four assists in seven games in all
Leao’s current contract at San Siro is set to expire in June
2024, however, AC Milan head-coach Stefano Pioli recently
claimed that the team were planning to offer him a new deal
in the near future.
“The club wants to offer Leao a new deal soon. They will
take care of it – he’s working at the best level. He’s not
creating any problems, he’s just working hard as a top
professional,” Pioli told reporters.
The Blues are believed to have failed with an €80m (£69m)
offer for Leao earlier in the transfer window, with the West

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the capital outfit have
now been given encouragement in their pursuit of the
attacker, who has seen discussions over a new deal with
Milan hit an impasse.
The report suggests that Leao wants a £6m per year deal at
AC Milan, however, the Serie A champions are not currently
prepared to meet that figure.
